I wrote and produced a song for Yanzi for her new album, I’m very happy with it, coz for once, it’s not something ballady tragic. Actually her song collection had almost come to an end already. But I wrote those little song at the staircase of my house while Ah guan was preparing to sleep…(1. he came by on a visit 2. I sleep upstairs, he sleep downstairs, we’re both very straight) and I have been listening to quite raw indy shit for the last few months…so it all flowed down into this song.

When I finished the demo, I sent it to yanzi and the next day I was off to Taiwan, on the plane, for some egomaniacal self admiring reason, I just repeated it again and again on my creative aurazen earphones(a little plug here, heheh) till I reached Taipei. That night, while I was having dinner with a good fren Weiwen, Yanzi called and say…ehh…I have been listening to your song the whole day leehh…

then I said..har!??!?! me too leehh! hahhaha!! and so…

I got Ah guan to write lyrics and he was quite pleased coz he digs yanzi’s stuff…

So the production this time, was quite anti production, hahhah everything was kept purposely a bit raw, and singing was a bit quirky at times, nice quirky, and in fact, the working title for this song was ‘quirky’.  and as usual, there’s weird shit going on behind, cars crashing, owls hooting and more random bits of pure enjoyable noise…

hehhehh…
